We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined individual to join our Special Hazards division as a Technician Apprentice. This is an entry-level role designed for someone eager to learn the trade through on-the-job training while working alongside an experienced Lead Technician as part of a two-person crew.

We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined individual to join our Special Hazards division as a Technician Apprentice. This is an entry-level role designed for someone eager to learn the trade through on-the-job training while working alongside an experienced Lead Technician as part of a two-person crew.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Technician in the installation of special hazard suppression systems.
- Begin as a laborer with a clear path toward certification and technical proficiency.
- Learn to work with piping systems: cutting, threading, fitting, and assembling.
- Utilize and eventually master tools such as the Rigid 300 pipe threading machine.
- Install clean agent cylinders including CO2, FM-200, and other clean agents.
- Follow all safety protocols while working on ladders and in elevated areas.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Receive and apply direction from the Lead Technician on daily tasks.
- Commit to progressing toward a Certificate of Competency in the field.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Mechanically inclined with interest in skilled trades.
- Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.
- Ability to carry and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Prior experience with mechanical tools and equipment is a plus, especially with pipe threading machines.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred.
- Exposure to fire protection or mechanical trades.
- Familiarity with Ridgid 300 threading machines or similar equipment.
- On-the-job training with experienced technicians.
