Position Overview:
Fire Equipment Inc. is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations. This role is responsible for managing inventory, optimizing workflow, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and leading a team to maintain efficient warehouse operations. The Warehouse Manager will play a key role in improving operational processes, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring timely fulfillment of technician and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
  • Oversee and manage warehouse staff, providing leadership, training, and performance management.
  • Assign and monitor daily tasks to ensure efficient operations.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and productivity.
Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management:
  • Oversee receiving, storing, and distributing inventory to support field technicians and customers.
  • Implement and maintain effective inventory control processes to minimize loss and ensure accuracy.
  • Manage staging and fulfillment of technician parts requests and job site deliveries.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and ensure stock levels align with demand.
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination:
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Work with suppliers and vendors to streamline receiving and distribution processes.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and organization for operational efficiency.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
  • Implement best practices for warehouse management, including manual and digital inventory tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Operations, Sales, and Field Service teams to align warehouse activities with business needs.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for emergency requests, such as urgent refills and priority shipments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding inventory levels, order fulfillment, and operational updates.
Qualifications:
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of warehouse management or supervisory experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment.
  • Experience managing inventory and overseeing warehouse personnel.
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems; Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and operate warehouse equipment as needed.
