Position Summary
The Service Sales Representative is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding client relationships within a defined territory to drive growth across FEI’s inspection, testing, and service offerings. This role involves prospecting new clients, maintaining existing accounts, and generating revenue through service contract sales and renewals.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated sales professional with proven success in B2B service contract sales—preferably in life safety, building systems, or other technical service industries. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at relationship building, and are driven by achieving results through consultative selling and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Execution
• Develop new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and lead generation.
• Collaborate with Business Development and management to generate new qualified leads.
• Deliver sales presentations to prospective clients highlighting FEI’s services and value proposition.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals.
• Manage a designated territory and existing customer base to ensure retention and growth.
• Utilize Salesforce.com to manage pipeline, forecast opportunities, and document all sales activity.
Client Relationship Management
• Partner with clients to assess their fire protection needs and provide tailored service solutions.
• Maintain ongoing relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.
• Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries, proposals, and service requests.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinators, Technicians, and Operations to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.
Product & Industry Expertise
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of FEI’s service offerings, including inspection, testing, installation, and repair.
• Prepare accurate service contract estimates and ensure pricing aligns with company profitability goals.
• Participate in structured training programs including Salesforce, DRD, and field experience shadowing.
• Represent FEI at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings as a brand ambassador.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of B2B outside sales experience—preferably in life safety, building systems, or service contract sales.
• Experience in elevator, HVAC, or other technical service sales will be considered.
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Salesforce.com or equivalent CRM software preferred.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout assigned territory.
