Position Summary
The Warehouse / Driver – Central Services role supports FEI’s field operations by handling inter-branch deliveries, job-site material transport, and day-to-day warehouse operations. This position is a hybrid role, spending approximately 50–75% of the week on the road, with the remaining time supporting warehouse receiving, inventory, and housekeeping.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable driving company vehicles, and willing to support warehouse operations as needed. This role does not require a CDL or HazMat endorsement but does require a DOT medical card.(Company Paid)

Key Responsibilities
Driving & Delivery (50–75%)
  • Deliver fire extinguishers, small packages, parts, and materials between FEI offices and branches
  • Make deliveries to job sites supporting:
    • Sprinkler
    • Fire Alarm
    • Special Hazards teams
  • Operate company vehicles including:
    • Pickup trucks
    • Vans
    • Small box truck (as needed)
    • Heavy-duty pickup truck occasionally towing a small trailer
  • Transport and deliver a scissor lift to and from job sites as required
  • Assist with “cleaning out” completed projects by retrieving unused materials, pipe, fittings, and equipment
  • Follow assigned delivery schedules while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Maintain delivery logs, mileage tracking, and basic documentation as required
  • Adhere to all DOT, safety, and company driving policies
    (All vehicles are automatic)

Warehouse Operations (25–50%)
  • Assist with daily warehouse operations under the direction of the Warehouse Manager
  • Support receiving duties after training, including checking in deliveries and staging materials
  • Assist with inventory organization, stocking, and cycle counts
  • Help maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
  • Support shipping, staging, and preparation of materials for field teams
  • Assist other departments as needed to support operational demands

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card (company paid)
  • 1–3 years of warehouse, delivery, or field support experience preferred
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs
  • Comfortable driving pickup trucks, vans, and small box trucks
  • Ability to occasionally tow a small trailer
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow direction
  • Strong communication skills and customer service mindset
  • Willingness to work both onsite and in the field
  • Basic familiarity with construction, fire protection, or trade environments is a plus

Work Environment & Schedule
  • Onsite and field-based role
  • Monday–Friday schedule
  • Combination of warehouse work and regional driving throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island
