Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pre-Engineered Systems Technician to join our team. This role involves performing inspection, testing, service, and maintenance of fire extinguishers, kitchen suppression systems, and emergency lighting. Additionally, the technician will assist in warehouse operations as needed. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

This role involves performing inspection, testing, service, and maintenance of fire extinguishers, kitchen suppression systems, and emergency lighting. Additionally, the technician will assist in warehouse operations as needed. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fire Extinguishers:
- Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance on portable fire extinguishers to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Recharge, repair, and replace fire extinguishers as needed.
- Kitchen Suppression Systems:
- Inspect, test, and maintain pre-engineered kitchen fire suppression systems.
- Conduct semi-annual service checks and ensure proper system functionality and compliance.
- Provide troubleshooting and repair services for suppression systems.
- Emergency Lighting:
- Inspect and test emergency lighting systems for proper operation and compliance.
- Replace batteries, bulbs, and other components as necessary.
- Warehouse Support:
- Assist with warehouse tasks, including inventory management, equipment preparation, and general organization.
- Support logistics operations by staging and restocking supplies and equipment.
- Other Duties:
- Maintain accurate documentation of all inspections, tests, and maintenance activities.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding findings and recommendations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, industry standards, and company policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
- Prior experience with fire extinguishers, suppression systems, emergency lighting, or similar systems preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of applicable fire and life safety codes (e.g., NFPA standards).
- Familiarity with pre-engineered systems and their components.
- Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Combination of fieldwork at customer sites and warehouse tasks.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and confined spaces.
